Yesterday I was chatting with Manon Garcia (yes name-dropping the famous French feminist), and we agreed that one of the oddest features of living in Europe is the warm-embrace of the ‘woke vs anti-woke’ framework in European mainstream media and by cultural elites in their wake.
I don't understand the last part. Anti-wokeism has ironically affected European elites? Because they need it to push back against reminders of colonialism?
It seems like US anti-woke would be happy about that though! What am I not getting?
There’s a sentence in the post about anti-wokeism ‘ironically’ affecting European elites.I didn’t understand the irony but maybe it is that US anti-woke hate European elites and here they are, influencing them.
Maybe I was confused because I think they would be absolutely thrilled to influence European elites. They want an international far right movement full of rich people.

I honestly don't understand your confusion or why the feelings of the US anti-woke are salient here. Sorry.
